Full Job Description

This role supports the safe transportation of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) to and from School daily during term-time ensuring that the Local Authority fulfils and discharges its statutory duties in a responsible way. The role also has an extension of driving our state of the art Mobiloo. It is an accessible toilet/changing place that is available for hire for events in the community to provide the same opportunities for residents with additional needs. This will include some evening and weekend working. Your working week and pattern will vary depending on the requirements of the travel portfolio and Mobiloo bookings.

We recognise that most potential applicants may not have the specialist knowledge around SEND, therefore a desire to learn is essential, we will ensure that the successful applicant is provided with the relevant training to undertake the post to the required standard.

However, we do expect excellent communication skills impeccable time keeping abilities and candidates to be able to follow necessary procedures and process. You must be a 'people person', someone who enjoys interaction with children, young people and adults alike
