Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a flexible support worker to provide cover support for annual leave, sickness and training to some of our already established Brighton and Hove community support, 24/7 1:1 services, supported living services area.

We have weekday, weekend and evening and sleep in shifts available. You have to be available to cover some weekend shifts and be available to work 7/8am, if you are covering the morning shifts. Sleep ins are not part of the contracted hours and are separate to your contact.

This job involved lone working in the community, and work part of a team if you work in one of the 7 supported living services

Brief outline of the role

Your role will be to support people with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs with day-to-day tasks in either our supported living houses or out in in the community.

We support people with all aspects of their lives, such as daily living skills, medication, personal care and finances as well as accessing community activities. You will need to have good communication skills and just enjoy spending time with people.

We are looking for people who are patient, resilient- work with client with mental health issue and challenging behaviour, compassionate, understanding and able to use their own initiative,

Some learning disability and/or caring experience in supporting people either professionally or personally is preferred for this role.
