Staffing Match is proud to work with a leading Airline Catering company aiming to be the UK's premier inflight service provider. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Flight coordinator to join our team at Heathrow Airport. This role involves overseeing daily operations at the client's Hounslow unit and making occasional airside visits to ensure accurate, timely deliveries and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, logistics experience, and a commitment to high standards.,
- Location Management: Based at the Hounslow unit with airside visits to verify deliveries meet airline requirements.
- Operations Oversight: Handle daily activities, including updating logs, check sheets, and delivery notes.
- Coordination Across Teams: Communicate flight changes and updates with relevant departments.
- Delivery Accuracy: Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of flights.
- Workflow Optimization: Work with TSU and food production teams to optimize timing.
- Meal Dispatch: Perform packing checks, secure trolleys, and manage meal dispatch processes.
- Load Verification: Confirm correct trolley loading and manage counts for inbound/outbound flights.
- Crew Briefings: Prepare paperwork, brief crews on menu changes, and handle special meal requests (SPMLs).
- Shift Reporting: Oversee proper handover and report food shortages or other issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop skills in technical and leadership areas.
License: Full UK driving license (car provided for occasional driving). - Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of Health & Safety and food safety practices.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in written and spoken English; team-oriented.
- Experience: Prior airside experience preferred but not essential.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexibility: Available for varied shifts and days.
