Full Job Description

We are looking for a Floating Support Worker to join our Ammanford Floating Support team. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with our clients to provide them with the necessary support to access housing, maintain tenancies and address related issues. As a Homelessness Support Worker, you will play an instrumental role in making a positive difference in people's lives. You will work with a diverse range of individuals and be empowered to structure your week in the most effective way possible to provide tailored support.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a drivers licence and access to a car., This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to work with clients from a range of backgrounds and have the autonomy to make a real impact in their lives. You will also have the chance to collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure that the people we support receive comprehensive and personalized assistance.

As a Support worker you will:

Encourage and motivate clients to engage with their community and develop life and social skills
Provide housing-related support to help clients take on and maintain a tenancy to prevent homelessness
Offer advice, information and support to clients
Complete all necessary administrative tasks related to the job, including developing risk assessments, support plans and risk management plans
Manage a caseload of clients with varying needs and levels of support
Liaise and work closely with other agencies and professionals to meet clients' needs
Assist clients with potential benefits and help them register with healthcare providers
