Full Job Description

As the ward resident doctor, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day junior medical input under the supervision of the patients' Responsible Clinicians and in collaboration with the ward multidisciplinary team.

The post is advertised as a "floating" post to allow for possible post changes to meet service needs, but the initial starting post would be on Barron Ward (Men's Low Secure Rehabilitation Ward).

This is an excellent opportunity for the post holderto gain experience in inpatient forensic psychiatry in a Trust with multiple possible opportunities for further career development., The duties include clerking in new admissions; working with the multidisciplinary team to provide day-to-day psychiatric and physical health care of a high standard to a patient group with complex needs; providing physical healthcare with access to our primary healthcare team as needed; reviewing patients in seclusion; participating in and minuting team meetings; preparing CPA reports; and contributing to the ongoing assessment, management and monitoring of the ward patients.
