Full Job Description
As a Flood Risk Management Officer, the position involves manging local flood risk across the county.
You will be a vital component of our dedicated and experienced team, which fulfils the responsibilities of the Council as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating planning applications related to flood risks from surface water, groundwater, and ordinary watercourses.
- Managing land drainage consents and collaborating with partners and the community to address and promote mitigation efforts for flood risk issues
- Maintaining the asset register.
- Mapping flood incidents.
- Supporting the review of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy and other documentation such as flood risk assessments, flood risk management plans, and surface water management plans.

Salary: £27,334 - £36,648 per annum, depending on skills and experience. - A competitive salary.

Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week, flexible working available.
Location: Your office base will be Chichester and a typical week will combine homeworking with attendance at the office or site visits. This is led by the needs of the service.
Employer Pension Contribution: 19.70% this alters per annum on the 1st April each year.
Annual leave: 25-27 days holiday + Bank holidays = 33-35 days.
