Full Job Description

Full Time FM Domestic Supervisor - 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00 The post holder will support FM Team Leader Domestic Services, cleaning, auditing, supervising, staff training including use of machinery and covering remote sites across Bristol. Cossham /Cribbs Causeway/Knowle/Frenchay. As a Working Supervisor, Post Holder requires a Full Clean UK Manual Driving license. To support and be responsible for the allocation of work to the Domestic Staff on duty ensuring that a responsive high-quality service is provided to meet the needs of the user. To supervise and work with the Domestic Staff to provide an efficient and cost-effective service, ensuring staff are appropriately deployed and are equipped with the necessary equipment and that the Trust Policies and Procedures are adhered to. Able to liaise appropriately and professionally with own staff and all other service users. Responsible to ensure service delivery in line with National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021. The primary function is the supervision of cleaning within the outpatient/workshop environment, including clinical and patient areas all other non-clinical areas, such as infection cleans, office and public areas. Required to work in any of the areas following the required training. To provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective patient support service to departments in North Bristol NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner.,

  • Support FM Team Leader, working afternoon and evening, be responsible for the day to day control, monitoring, and supervision of all cleaning tasks and schedules within designated areas in alignment to Service Level Agreements and NHS Cleaning Regulations.
  • Contribute in the preparation and supervision of shift rotas to ensure service delivery Delegate and prioritise tasks to domestic staff members on a daily basis Carry out staff induction and adhoc training processes and complete within the required timescales, including completing a review meeting with the staff to confirm their successful completion Communicate daily with Team Lead communicate operational activities and requirements Communicate any exceptional issues to Team leader in a timely manner e.g. lack of resource to carry out essential tasks Liaise with service users to review and resolve issues arriving and escalate any exceptional circumstances to Team Leader. Hold regular Team briefs for FM team staff within your designated areas Manage staff to ensure that PST Uniform and Dress Code Policy is adhered to and that a clean and professional image is always presented whilst on duty. Report in to the Team Leader on a regular basis in order to ensure that staff shifts, holidays, absences and training records for all PST staff are fully maintained accordingly.About us Working for your organisation Physical Effort Duties involve standing/walking for long periods of time during the shift Duties may involve undertaking physically demanding tasks e.g. unloading cleaning products and stacking in cleaner's store, the movement of patients. Mental Effort Being aware of health and safety implications involved in duties and their potential effect on others e.g. remembering to use a wet floor sign when cleaning floors, using correct PPE for barrier nursing patient rooms etc. At ward level keeping a professional distance from patients and ensuring confidentiality at all times Working to schedules within pre-set time constraints. Emotional Effort Whilst working at ward level being able to cope with witnessing distressing sights of patients who are very ill and may be at the end stages of life In the course of your duties, you will need to be sensitive when coming into contact with patients and members for the public who may be experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety.
