Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Food Production Assistant to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. In this role, you will be crucial in preparing and delivering nutritious meals to our patients, supporting their recovery and well-being. What you'll do:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and health regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food hygiene and safety standards.
- Support the Food Service team in managing the inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences for patients.
- Participate in regular training to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
Previous experience in a food production or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential. - A basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
