We are a busy cooked meat manufacturer in Northampton requiring a Food Production Operative / Cleaner (Afternoon to Evening)

Houghton Hams is a well-established, family-run, food production business which started in 1983, based in Moulton Park. Since the year 2000, Houghton Hams has rapidly grown and expanded. Our customers and clients range from high end retailers to individual customers and food establishments. We supply to our customers nationally on a next day service. Products include, but are not limited to bacon, gammon joints and hams.
Role Responsibilities
- Supporting food production operatives / activities as and when required.
- Cleaning production machinery and all areas of the factory from ceiling to floor, ensuring cleaning procedures, COSHH regulations and H&S requirements are followed and met.
- Dismantling some of the equipment in preparation for cleaning and rebuilding once cleaned.
- Operating cleaning equipment and other cleaning materials.
Comfortable wearing PPE and working in a factory environment with chemicals and cleaning equipment. - Willing and able to work in a cold and wet environment
Working Hours: To be agreed - afternoon to evening hours [e.g. 12pm/2pm/5pm start, finish when factory closes (circa 10pm)] - Company pension
