You will be responsible for setting up cafeteria lines, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items and beverages as well as help prepare the same. As a food service worker you will serve food cafeteria style, break down and clean area when meals are complete, set up dining room tables for service, places food and beverages on tables, and replenishes items as necessary. May unload food from delivery trucks. A pre-employment physical will be required for this position, this will be conducted at RAF Lakenheath. Your hours of work will be 15 hours per week on an as rostered schedule (this will be working any 5 days out of 7) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.

Food Service Worker - If you are a dedicated and skilled individual with a passion for excellence, we invite you to join our team at the United States Air Force, 48th Force Support Squadron, RAF Lakenheath We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in setting up dinning room tables, serve food and customer service, You must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. You will have knowledge of sanitation standards for handling and serving food, and cleaning equipment and work area., You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing. All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
