Full Job Description
We are looking for true people person who can drive and motivate the team to delight and wow our customers from the moment they walk into the hotel. The selected candidate will be a part of our brilliant Food & Beverage team who always strive to deliver the best service for our guests while working in a dynamic environment. In this role you will assist the Food and Beverage Manager in all food and beverage outlets (Market Kitchen Restaurant, Brew Bar Lounge, Executive Lounge, Room Service and Conference & Banqueting) and supervising staff on a daily basis. You will be a key player in helping our guests maintain their flow and ensuring nothing gets in the way whilst focusing on what matters most. You will be an ambassador for Delta Hotels by Marriott, assisting our guests using skill and experience to show them that we genuinely care. You will be responsible for delivering our brand promise, Simple Made Perfect. What you'll be doing
- Serve as a departmental role model by working alongside employees to perform job duties.
- Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
- Ensure that hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles, cleanliness, and technical and service aspects of the job.
- Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best, take responsibility for tasks, make decisions and suggest possible improvements.
- Ensure that employees have the necessary resources to perform their jobs (e.g., supplies, equipment, and inventory).
- Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines.
- Communicate with guests, other employees, or departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- Identify and recommend new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
- Complete scheduled inventories of supplies, food, and liquor to check stock and requisition necessary supplies.
- Complete opening duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, including bank.
- Communicate allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Collaborate with management to formally recognize employees' performance contributions.

- Previous experience in working in a food & beverage environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is a big plus but not essential. However, minimum one year working in a high contact customer service role is required.
- Flexible to work various shifts including weekends and occasional bank holidays. This is a full time role (40 hours per week)
