Full Job Description
Reporting to the Seed Manager East the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with the Head of Seed and Seed Manager East to develop a business plan
- Working with the Grass and Environmental Product Managers to build and develop the portfolio of products to be promoted and sold in the Eastern Region
- Forecasting, planning production and managing Forage Seed stock on-site
- Acting as the main Eastern contact for specialist advice for farmers and the Sales team
- Providing technical support for Wynnstay Sales Specialists on grass, environmental and conservation seed
- Collaborating with and upskilling the Eastern Sales team, assisting with retail business and dual calling where required
- Relaunching the existing Yorkshire Green brand across the Eastern Region
- Producing key marketing materials including the Yorkshire Green Catalogue
- Working with Seed Managers and the Marketing department to boost brand recognition
- Keeping up to date with changes in environmental policy and communicating with other departments
Have experience in combinable crop seed/forage - Be BASIS and FACTS qualified (preferable)
- Possess sales skills and experience
- Be able to build good business relationships with professional farmers
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative
- Be able to demonstrate strong accuracy levels and proficiency in using IT systems
- Have a flexible approach to working hours
- Possess a full clean UK driving license
