Our Friends and Family Social Work Team is at the heart of transforming the lives of children and families in our community. This role is all about combining compassionate leadership with ambitious standards to ensure children and families and the team receive the best support possible.

You'll have the autonomy to drive improvements, set high standards, and develop innovative approaches to support friends and family carers, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children., We are seeking an experienced person to oversee our Friends and Family Social Work Team. In this role, you will be at the heart of driving impactful changes, ensuring high quality service delivery, and strengthening the bonds that support our families. You will have oversight of the day-to-day operations, ensuring our team delivers consistently high-quality social work assessments, support, and permanency. Your impact will be crucial in shaping our approach to supporting friends and family carers, overseeing the allocation, and conducting of Reg 24 and Viability Assessments and quality assuring, making sure our practices reflect the high standards we endeavour to provide.

The majority of our teams are sat together in Swinton at Unity House.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.52. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.52.
