Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 full time Fostering Support workers Childrens Placement Service,
based in Shrewsbury.

The Assessment and Recruitment Team is a busy, developing team with a clear focus on growing the
number of foster carers within Shropshire to support and care for our looked after children, as well as
supporting potential connected person foster carers who are caring for children looked after that are
known to them. The successful candidate will support with the recruitment and support of new
mainstream carers as well as support connected person carers and carry out direct work.

We are looking for support practitioners who have enthusiasm, positivity, flexibility, the ability to work
with a range of people and have a commitment to contributing to the development of the team and
our foster carers. The suitable candidate will work towards supporting our carers to ensure a positive,
safe and nurturing experiences for children and young people in their care.
