Full Job Description
Our Lady & St Hubert's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception class teacher with overall responsibility for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our Lady & St Hubert's Catholic Primary School is a two-form entry school with a Pre-School offering full and part time provision for 3 and 4 year olds. We are looking for a candidate who is
- fully committed to promoting and supporting the Catholic ethos of the school
- enthusiastic about all aspects of learning and teaching, with a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- take the lead in developing and inspiring learning opportunities in our EYFS outdoor area, fostering curiosity, creativity and exploration in young people.
- to lead on and deliver a curriculum that prioritises children's communication and language
- able to ensure activities are designed, to focus on what children should learn and how all children will benefit
- ensuring that all children get enough practice to become fluent in using important foundational knowledge. E.g. pencil grip, reading fluency, letter and number formation
- able to work closely with parents and outside agencies to provide the best possible start for all children
- able to coordinate and evaluate continuity and progression across pre-school and reception through dialogue, shared practice and focused monitoring and evaluation. We can offer
