Full Job Description

We have a Foundation year 3 post in Trauma & Orthopaedics vacancy (ST1/2 level) to start as soon as possible at King's Mill, part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a fixed term period of 12 months from 07/08/2024 to 05/08/2025.
This post will be an excellent opportunity for doctors who have completed basic post-graduate level training and want to develop and improve their skills in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the levels indicated above. The posts can be tailored to the individuals' requirements, including adjusting to working practices in the NHS from outside the UK, entry to Core and Specialist Training within the NHS, + Under the supervision of the Consultant provide to the care of patients in the department with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness or injury.
+ Referral of patients to appropriate in-patient facilities as appropriate.
+ Involvement in multi-disciplinary teams and meetings.
+ Teaching and supervision of junior staff as appropriate.
+ Involvement in relevant administration duties (e.g. in rota schedules).
+ Active involvement in audit and clinical governance.
+ Play an active role in the day-to-day management and administration of the department.
+ So far as is consistent with the discharge of the above duties, the post-holder shall undertake to deputise for absent colleagues, when the post-holder deputises outside his/her normal contracted duties and commitment, an equivalent amount of off duty shall be given.
+ The post-holder undertakes to be available for such irregular commitments outside normal reserved duties as are essential for the continuity of patient care.
+ The post-holder may be required to work Public Holidays, as per the rota and will receive time off in lieu.

The current price of a check is £40 plus VAT for an enhanced and £23 plus VAT for a standard check.
