Full Job Description

Role supporting the Director within the Finance department; responsible for the administration, configuration, enhancement of Adaptive Planning. Assist the Head of FP&A in the constant improvement of the system, maximising automation, ensuring compatibility with a company wide digitisation programme.

Also be the "go-to" person in the finance team for Adaptive queries and training. In addition, responsible for the support of the production of all regular elements of management reporting for monthly/periodical Management Information, including business line and stakeholder reporting. Key support for planning and forecasting cycles, alongside involvement in ad hoc projects to improve controls and data analysis capabilities, to include a multi-year cross-Finance change project.

Specific responsibility for preparation, reporting and forecasting of revenue and exposure data, and compilation to P&L level, incorporating cost/FTE data produced by the Cost Control team.

Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the Head of FP&A, Director Financial Control and support the CFO and wider Finance function.

Key Work Output And Accountabilities

  • Responsibility for Adaptive Planning used for all Management Reporting. Support the head of FP&A by configuring the system to support business requirements, finance reporting requirements, finding efficiencies through further automation, ensuring consistency with business wide digitisation programme.

  • Support the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and other monthly business level reporting

  • Review and load of P&L, Balance sheet and other management reporting data into MI reporting model, and reconciliation to statutory GL ledger, working closely with the Financial Control team

  • Support the preparation and control of all revenue and exposure management reporting and forecasting

  • Assist with development of reporting output and data extraction from the GL (T24/Insight) into the reporting model (Workday Adaptive Planning), including management and development of dashboards

  • Assist with ad hoc reviews or analysis to support the FP&A function as required, to include Finance change project, treasury accounting, FTP, Cost allocations, ad hoc support for business stakeholders

  • Ensure strong governance, controls, processes and procedures are in place., Adapting plans and priorities to meet specific objectives, and/or leads projects that require resource coordination


  • Develops and manages relationships with colleagues within BACB and also with clients and stakeholders

    Expertise in configuring, structuring and using Adaptive Planning is essential

    Ability to work with large data sets, some experience of data analysis desirable

    Strong accounting background within FP&A or management reporting functions;

    Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent;

    Self motivated with a logical mindset and an aptitude for problem solving;

    Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues / areas in need of development

    Ability to deal professionally with / present to colleagues of all levels

    Ability to design and produce professional level of MI (PowerPoint) relevant to ad hoc issues;

    High level of computer literacy essential, including advanced Excel modelling skills;

    Knowledge of T24/Insight beneficial.
