Framing Consultant

We are currently seeking a Framing Consultant to join our team in a bustling retail environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the shop, providing support to customers and ensure the smooth running of the store.

The main focus of the role is to provide professional and friendly framing consultations with our customers, in order to create beautiful bespoke frames, carefully suited to each artwork.

Other duties include handling enquiries face to face, over the phone and via email. You will work closely with the team at the shop and remotely with our workshop team, whilst also being self-motivated to complete tasks and orders independently and efficiently.

The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in a creative role, either professionally or independently. Knowledge of various art practices would be a bonus.

Preferred

• Experience in framing consultations or assembly


• A general understanding of creative processes


Essential

• A good eye for colour and composition


• Proven experience in a fast-paced retail environment


• Excellent Customer Service skills


• Available to work every other Saturday


• Full availability in December up to Christmas Eve


Other responsibilities include:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain a tidy and organised shop floor
- Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
- Process transactions accurately using the till system
- Assist with receiving deliveries and restocking products
- Help customers locate items and provide product information
- Support the shop manager with administrative tasks as required

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Over the years we've framed everything from original pieces by high-profile artists, to traditional prints by local artists, plus many interesting momentos and memorabilia. We also offer fine art printing services and fine art reproduction.

Orders are booked in via our shop on Zetland Road and are produced in our Brislington workshop.

5 days, Monday - Saturday (day off during the week when working a Saturday)

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
