Full Job Description

Are you experienced in claims case management within the insurance industry? Do you have a passion to protect customers against fraud? We need you! As a Fraud Proactive Detection & Insights Technician, you'll enable the proactive detection of fraud risk through review of incoming claims, which are triggered by automated detection as well as claims selected through insights for review, and selecting the right cases to refer for a formal investigation. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:

  • Systematic reviews of flagged cases and a selection of high risk cases for analysis.
  • Targeted review of open claims, for the presence of high-risk factors, or modus operandi and select cases for investigation.
  • Support the development of fraud risk through the application of fraud loss measurement techniques, utilising the case review process and the understanding that stems from it.
  • Encourage the improvement of contemporary fraud detection techniques by providing feedback on the performance and working with stakeholders where required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of data into key systems as required and ensure that key processes are followed in terms of the use of any confidential data sources.

  • Educated to A level standard/ equivalent. A relevant professional qualification or experience in insurance fraud preferred but not mandatory.
  • An inquisitive and logical approach to assessing risk and problem solving.
  • Ideally knowledge of fraud within the insurance industry and an understanding of key fraud trends and typologies.
  • Working knowledge of basic insurance principles and relevant case law, products, policies and claims philosophy.
  • Experience or application of managing the key types of fraud affecting claims
  • Exceptional organisation skills and ability to effectively prioritise/deprioritise tasks as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, and office applications
  • As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
