Full Job Description

Job holders will provide faith/belief and pastoral care to prisoners and staff of their own faith/belief tradition and have an understanding/knowledge of other faith/beliefs as part of a multi/faith/belief chaplaincy team. Job holders will also be required to meet the pastoral needs of people of other faiths/beliefs and none., This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours, Strengths, Experience and Technical skills.

(1) DipHe, or higher, in Biblical or Theological Discipline;
(2) Accredited minister (Lay or Ordained) of a denomination that is part of the Free Churches Group or listed by the HMPPS Free Churches Faith and Belief Adviser as an ‘Additional Denomination’; and
(3) Demonstrable knowledge of Christian Theology and Religious Practice., + Communicating and Influencing
