About Procurement and Supply Chain and the Role The Procurement and Supply Chain team are responsible for the processes and materials behind the manufacture and distribution of the goods that THG creates and sells. The work the team does is critical in ensuring the business is competitive in the market. Reporting to the Head of Freight, the Freight Executive will ensure that logistic transport and delivery solutions are provided to meet targets set by the business by driving strategic initiatives.,

  • To plan Ocean, Air and Road freight shipments from end to end. Including creating export documentation, liaising with freight forwarders and providing information to brokers and other external stakeholders.
  • Sourcing quotes from forwarders, shipping lines and couriers
  • To manage UK imports, exports and cross trade shipments
  • To ensure all internal and external stakeholders are communicated with effectively regarding all shipment enquiries
  • To support centralised business functions including supply chain, merchandisers and buyers
  • Provide quotes and troubleshoot issues when required
  • Deal with special arrangements for transporting delicate and time sensitive shipments
  • Ensuring the business is compliant with regulations relevant to Logistics
  • To develop the relationship between technology and seamless logistics
  • To develop excellent working relationships with our internal warehouses and global 3PL's
  • Maintaining data integrity within TMS

    Previous experience working in a logistics or freight forwarding environment
  • If you have experience working for an international retailer or freight forwarder that would be an advantage
  • Detailed understanding of export and import processes
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Incoterms
  • Previous experience creating export documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, EUR1 Certificates and Certificates of Origin.
  • High attention to detail for creating and managing export documentation / reports.
  • Good organisational and planning skills with a good geographical knowledge
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure
