Full Job Description

As a Front of House Supervisor at Sodexo at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester You'll supervise a team of front of house staff! From the bar to the busy food outlets, Your role and your teams is mostly customer facing and will interact with our Armed forces personnel every day, improving quality of life for all that you meet.   • Ensure completion of all requested/contracted tasks and motivate your team to effectively ensure these are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Oversee the teams areas to ensure they are kept tidy, clean and to a hygienic standard
  • Communicate efficiently with the catering management and chefs, to ensure teams are connected and working in sync
  • Be a champion of health and safety practices - spot a near miss? Report it to keep your colleagues safe!
  • Ensure regular safety walks are completed, to pick up any hazards.
  • Frequent feedback sessions with your team, to ensure they are confident and happy in their roles.

    Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of catering operations, as well as some team leading experience or supervisory.
  • Very much desirable, but some experience in hospitality would be great; Hotel/Bar/Restaurant
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate a team well
  • Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
  • Be a team player and communicate this with your senior management
