As we continue our mission to make people and nature happy through re-chocolate, we're looking for a Fulfilment Team Manager to join our Fulfilment Team on a permanent basis. As a Fulfilment Team Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the operation and a team of colleagues. By coaching and motivating your team to deliver great service and standards to the business, you will help to drive engagement initiatives, managing costs and continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for optimising the deployment of labour across all operational areas of the shift to meet service priorities of each area of the fulfilment operation based on the business forecasted volumes and reacting to any changing demands and forecast variances. We are a dynamic brand with ambitious growth plans, so this opportunity would suit a skilled Team Manager or Team Supervisor who enjoys making a difference and driving positive change. Shift Pattern: this role will operate on a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday., The on-site location for this role is at our Distribution Centre 'Beta', in Harpole, Northampton. We opened the doors to our impressive Distribution Centre - all 429,107 square feet of it - in October 2022. You will find us just off of Junction 16 of the M1. What you'll be doing….

  • Engage with and inspire your shift creating an environment that enables them to perform at their best and supports their development; through monitoring and driving performance against KPI's, identify areas of improvement in areas such as H&S, Absence, Well-being, Service performance levels, & productivity.
  • Responsible for team development and succession planning through 121's, goal setting and creation of long-term development plans.
  • Actively listen and communicate with your team daily, creating an environment of open and honest conversation, where everyone's voice is listened to, and everyone treats each other with respect.
  • Be the first point of call for all immediate team management - absence, holiday requests, day to day queries, daily performance, management of ER cases.
  • Identify performance concerns and guide and coach your team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of the End of Shift Reporting to be given to the Shift Manager.
  • Ensure all areas of the shift are compliant to the relevant Policies & Procedures, identify any skill gaps and generate meaningful training plans.
  • Work with the Shift Manager to create action plans from the Engagement Surveys to continuously improve the communication and engagement of the Fulfilment team.
  • Support the Project Team to drive improvements to process and support any resulting Policy & Procedure amendments.
  • Work collaboratively with all Managers to ensure a smooth operation, identifying risks and opportunities with proposed action plans to address.
  • Work with the team to drive reductions in errors by providing clear feedback to individuals and participating in process reviews.
  • Ensure a customer first mindset and culture on your shift, proactively thinking of ways to make their lives easier.
  • Work with the Site Health & Safety Manager to instill a Safety-first culture on your shift.
  • Create an environment where well-being is a priority, and you actively signpost relevant tools where needed for your team.
  • Consider the right communication tools to share key business messages and updates on a regular basis with your team, ensuring the message lands well.

    Demonstrable experience managing in a multi-channel FMCG fulfilment environment as a team leader of teams with more than 50 heads.
  • Experience of managing change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel / Word / WMS systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety standards.
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced operational environment
