Full Job Description

Ishida Europe will be developing a new Manufacturing Execution System (M.E.S). Essentially, this is a solution used in manufacturing to monitor and control the production processes on the shop floor. An M.E.S provides real-time visibility and control over production processes, enabling stakeholders to monitor operations, identify bottlenecks, minimize downtime and make informed decisions promptly. You will be responsible for creating the new M.E.S application. You will work with the IT and Project team to design, implement and support the new application. You will need to understand the project and the business requirements. You will be expected to design and create the M.E.S system using the latest .NET version and Blazor to create a fast, secure, professional looking, fully functional and responsive application.
Primary Responsibilities

o To ensure that the project is carried out to a high level of competence meeting agreed completion/implementation dates.
o Be able to understand, scope, document and develop the application using our specification and ideas.
o Be able to add your own input, knowledge, and expertise to the project to maximise the results.
o Full cycle development from initial discussion through to final assets and support. You will need to be able to design applications, develop code, create/amend databases, implement cyber-security measures and integrate with other applications/systems.
o Be able to produce professional UI layouts and applications and be able to demonstrate these to an audience to gauge further feedback.
o Be able to fully comment and document your work throughout the development cycle and where applicable produce user manuals to a high standard. You will also need to be able to train people in the developed application.
o Designing visual imagery and ensuring it is in line with company branding policy.
o Be accountable for the delivery, installation, training, and ongoing support of the project.
o Be a team player in larger IT projects you are required to assist in. Work with the team taking responsibility for key areas.
o To provide end-user and business-user support for the application.
o Complete all administration tasks to the Company required standards and within agreed timescales.
o Plan, prepare, design and implement an effective working environment for development projects including design, development, testing and live areas.
o Develop a good working practice and environment in conjunction with any existing developers.
o Agree to undertake new and additional IT projects/tasks and responsibilities to meet future business needs as and when identified.

To be successful, you will have previous experience of building Blazor applications and hosting in Azure, preferably you will have experience of B2C and micro-service architecture. You will need to be able to create beautiful, responsive UI screens using HTML, CSS and Bootstrap amongst others. Additionally, you must have prior knowledge of implementing good security practices including complex passwords, JWT tokens and multi-factor authentication. External application will integrate with the M.E.S system.
The ideal candidate will be hard working, reliable, responsible and be calm under pressure, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, must be able to demonstrate an organised and professional approach to tasks, achieve completion and implementation dates on time and must have exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written.
