Full Job Description

Our development team works within our Agile teams to deliver positive outcomes on a range of projects and programmes for both the organisation, and savers, for years to come. Some of these projects include:
+ Transforming critical application into an Event Based Architecture by applying Domain Driven Design principles using the best cloud-based technology.
+ Building accessible cloud hosted websites using the newest technologies and design patterns.
+ Helping to refactor applications.
+ Working on a cross-industry initiative to consolidate all workplace pension information.
Due to growth within the development team, we are looking for our next generation of talent to come on board. This is a hands-on, technical role where you will be leading a cluster of Developers building solutions across the full stack using .Net C#.
You will provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to Developers, and train junior members of the team.
We will help you grow your skills and become an expert in your field. You will be supported with extensive professional development including furthering your Azure skills and learn or improve your Event Based Architecture and Domain Driven Design skills.
The role will be hybrid with 6 days per months office working in a friendly, supportive team.
Responsibilities
You will:
+ help to define and deliver the technical strategy across one or more Development teams, this will involve making decisions to ensure that technology choices, software architecture and tools align with both the TPR strategy and UK government service standards.
+ keep up with technological advances to optimise the tools and processes used by the team.
+ help continuously improve development methodologies, processes and standards.
+ develop and maintain software using Dev Ops and Agile values and principles.
+ write clean code across the full stack for multiple business solutions.
+ refactor code to keep it optimised and keep tests green.
+ share learnings with all and coach and mentor less experienced members in the team.

+ Experience of leading, coaching and mentoring Developers across multiple teams.
+ Practitioner level experience in developing clean, secure, and well tested code in .NET C#, ideally cloud hosted.
+ Demonstrable ability to build accessible web applications which meet users’ needs using appropriate technology in particular ASP.NET MVC.
+ Practitioner level experience of working with relational databases, SQL Server in particular.
+ Consistent track record of operating the services you build and identify issues in production.
+ Extensive experience of applying appropriate software architecture patterns.
Desirable skills
+ Experience of Sitecore/Umbraco or similar Content Management Systems.
+ A cloud background, ideally Azure including Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus.
+ Experience of Azure Dev Ops, including creating CI/CD pipelines.

£55,504 - £70,922
Salary between £55,504 and £70,922 per annum dependent on skills and experience, plus excellent benefits package
