Full Time Analyst / Junior Associate

Financing Group

Within a dynamic, market-driven environment, our teams work closely with corporate clients, financial sponsors, banks and governments to structure and execute plain vanilla as well as exotic financing and risk management transactions.
Our aim is to provide our clients with the best and most innovative financing and risk management solutions across the full product spectrum, including equity, debt and derivatives. To achieve this goal, the Financing Group comprises all Goldman Sachs' capital markets departments, and operates in close cooperation with other areas of Investment Banking and other divisions within the firm, including Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities and Equities., The position available is for a Full Time Analyst / Junior Associate within our Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa ('CEEMEA') debt financing and origination group. Your primary focus will be our clients in the CEEMEA region and, as a Full Time Analyst / Junior Associate, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist senior professionals with deal origination and execution across a diverse range of product areas


• Take responsibility for execution of deals in some cases


• Work as a product specialist directly with our clients at top management level to create and deliver financing solutions through debt (bonds, loans, FX and rates) products


• Develop a strong understanding of market fundamentals and be able to make market-informed contributions on a broad array of financing strategies that address clients' specific needs


• Design highly tailored presentations for clients to outline solutions to their financing needs (e.g. general corporate financing, acquisition financing, structured finance)


• Work on live transactions and interact with clients and professionals from across the bank as you build your network and experience


• Work closely with Investment Banking teams on client coverage and origination
  
  Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree


• Current experience as an investment banking Analyst / Associate (or related financial position) for 1-3 years


• Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills


• Strong quantitative and technical abilities


• An outstanding academic record


• Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities


• Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills


• Knowledge of one of the languages from CEEMEA countries is a plus
