Dependant on the successful recruitment to the posts it may be necessary to appoint an additional candidate to backfill posts at interview.
Job Details and Requirements
North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.
The role will largely be based at Eckington Active which offers a pool, large gym, multi-use studio including a range of fitness classes, café and soft play area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the activity program is all running to time, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, meeting & greeting customers and working in a team environment.
A flexible and professional approach is considered essential as the postholder will be required to undertake keyholder duties as and when needed to meet service demands.
To be successful you will need:
+ Ability to deal with face to face with a full age range of customers
+ A good understanding of a wide range of sports & leisure activities
+ Must be physically fit & capable of heavy lifting
+ Ability to carry out cleaning tasks thoroughly
+ To be able to use a modern till & booking system
+ Managing the facility in the absence of a Duty Officer
The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.
The post is normally based at Eckington Active but the successful candidate must be willing to work at any of the council's establishments should the need arise.
