Aylesford School Warwick is a forward thinking and exciting educational environment. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our students and our community. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Business and Economics who is keen to support and enable students to achieve highly in their GCSE and A-Level studies.
We are looking for a full-time teacher with the ability to teach both Business and Economics ideally.
Economics at Aylesford
Our Sixth Form students follow the AQA syllabus at A-Level which is a popular subject. Students are encouraged to think critically about factors having an impact on the current economic climate, in order to make informed decisions about microeconomic and macroeconomic topics. Independent learning skills are developed and we have high expectations of the work produced by Economics students.
This year, we launched GCSE Economics at Aylesford, following the AQA syllabus. This new course has proved very popular. GCSE Economics is an exciting new development in the department and the first step towards increasing the profile of Economics as a subject and career choice.
Business at Aylesford
Business is a very popular option at Aylesford in Year 10 taking the Edexcel GCSE Business and BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business. There is some consideration to offering A-Level Business in the future.
The Business and Economics department at Aylesford has two dedicated classrooms, one of which is a computer suite, enabling students to complete research assignments and course work in well-equipped classrooms.
