Full Job Description
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will be divided between Receptionist and Patient Care Assistant duties:
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- Nursing care to patients
- Assisting Vets and Nurses in restraining animals for treatment
- Cleaning, walking, and feeding of patients
- And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

- Experience in animal welfare, including feeding, cleaning, medicating and handling and a high level of understanding of how to meet the welfare needs of animals
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
Contract: Ongoing Maternity Cover Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday comprising of early and late shifts with a 1:4 share of the Saturday rota
