Full Job Description

Enhancing Test Suite Capabilities : Contribute to the development and enhancement of the UKTL's interoperability test suite, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Conducting Rigorous Testing : Execute thorough and consistent interoperability tests, meticulously documenting and analysing results to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

Effective Communication : Articulate and justify the implications of test findings to both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive responses to emerging threats.

Test Strategy Development : Collaborate in the design and refinement of test cases, comprehensively outlining their scope, limitations, and impact, and preparing detailed test specification documents aligned with overarching testing strategies.

Quality Assurance Coordination : Maintain meticulous records to support quality assurance processes, coordinating test schedules with the broader UKTL team to ensure seamless execution of testing protocols.

Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, including standards bodies, governmental agencies, academia, and industry partners, to ensure the meaningfulness and comprehensiveness of interoperability testing efforts and gather valuable insights into equipment configurations

  • Passion for interoperability research and testing.

  • Proficiency in cloud-native products and virtualized infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with telecoms and industry standards like 3GPP, O-RAN, and 5G.

  • Hands-on experience in testing telecoms or network equipment.

  • Expertise in creating, validating, and executing test scripts.

  • Proven track record in designing and documenting test environments as part of a comprehensive strategy.

  • Proficiency in various test automation frameworks, understanding their strengths and limitations.

  • Ability to analyse logs and detect anomalies or unexpected outcomes during testing.

  • Possession of relevant professional or academic qualifications, or equivalent hands-on experience and learning through apprenticeships.
