Functional Team Lead - Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Fantastic opportunity to work on a key account within a dynamic environment. Hands on Functional Team Lead with DevOps experience.

What you will be doing:

• Understand and own the technical configuration and detail of the system and its interfaces and be able to capture and maintain appropriate documentation to describe it


• Develop and maintain strong customer and third-party relationships, and be able to influence decision making


• Guide the team with the investigation, triage & allocation or actioning of incidents/changes & stories ensuring they are dealt with effectively and promptly making the best use of available resources


• Proactively monitor and maintain system health to ensure the highest level of service is continually maintained


• Oversee any deployment issues, fault finding and resolving any hardware, software or networking issues that may arise


• Work in a disciplined and structured manner in accordance with Agile and ITIL based service management processes


• Problem identification and resolution


• Assures application of best practices and standards


• Ensure BCDR plans are in place and practical


What you will bring:

• Able to impact assess new features and operational improvements, and influence key stakeholders to ensure system stability and relevance


• Strong understanding of the Dev Ops Life-cycle and its phases, CI/CD, Automation, Containerisation, On-Prem & Cloud Platforms


• Ability to develop improvements and new features as appropriate


• Understanding of computer networks, routing, firewalls & proxies


• Understanding of antimalware agents, and IDPS concepts


• Understanding of Linux (Red Hat preferred


• Strong communication skills essential


• Mentoring, support, leadership and development of team


• Identification of process and governance improvements and application of them


• Experience in a delivery role - able and willing to be hands on
