Full Job Description

Due to the growing number of treatments offered to patients and with the increasing external support we are providing to other healthcare units our Administration department have a need for an additional Funding Administrator to join the team.

  • What would you believe to be the most important things to consider when assuring the administration for secured funding?
  • How confident are you with managing data and sensitive information to be made available upon audit request?
  • Being that point of contact to patients, GPs and other medical professionals, our Funding Administrators manage all referrals where clinical policies apply and funding is required prior to a patients treatment, ensuring that funding is applied for, expediting the patients treatment. This is a part-time position (22.5 hpw) Working 9AM to 5PM On a rota basis from Monday to Friday, Reporting to the Administration Lead, you the Funding Administrator, will apply our robust processes to manage all funding applications and related referrals. Youll need to communicate with patients, general practitioners, ICBs (Integrated Care Boards), consultants, varied patient booking teams and other parties, such as internal and external stakeholders. Your orderly and organised administration skills will come into play as you manage an accurate filing system for patient records and notes, ensuring that all medical records are scanned to the internal clinical system. As the Funding Administrator, youll be accountable for audit adherence to the clinical policies, and work in-line with the ICBs (Integrated Care Boards) to provide evidence when it is called upon., It is envisaged that the appointed Funding Administrator will come from a very similar background, accountable for collating and managing vital information, adhering to regulatory policies and effectively supporting audits.

    Youd be a strong administrator, focused with an analytical attention to detail, able prioritise you own workload. Used to working as part of a wider team and as well as working without direct supervision using your own initiative. You will be an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal with strong IT skills, able to pick up new in-house systems easily and always remains compliant when working with personal information and sensitive data adhering to GDPR regulations.
