Full Job Description

Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations is the fundraising and alumni engagement arm of the University. It has responsibility for raising major philanthropic gifts from alumni and non-alumni sources, and for encouraging lifelong relationships and building links between the University, its alumni and supporters.

Each Fundraising Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to an allocated group of Fundraisers. The primary duty is to assist the Fundraisers in managing their portfolios of fundraising relationships and the fundraising campaigns that they direct, requiring extensive use of our CRM, Amicus, for which appropriate training will be given.

Other essential responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating appointments and meetings, recording meeting minutes, arranging travel, handling expense claims, aiding in event coordination, and occasionally creating promotional materials.

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Fundraising Assistant., Applicants should have strong administration experience and must have extremely good communication and organisational skills, confident telephone manner and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent computer skills especially knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience together with a proven ability to work as member of a team are also essential.

This role is based in central Cambridge. We practise a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.¿
