Funds Lawyer

As the Legal Counsel, you will lead on all legal responsibility across the business with a particular focus on fund structuring and formation. You will work very closely with the COO and Compliance Officer on a daily basis, along with the wider investment team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Lawyer with a funds background and a growth mindset to join a high performing private equity fund.

• Manage all legal aspects of the funds - developing, establishing and structuring
• Work closely with the COO and Compliance Officer in regard to policies and procedures that ensure the firms funds meet requirements
• Liaise and work very closely with external law firms on funds and transactional legal matters
• Lead on a broad range of legal tasks relating to transactions, tax and regulatory issues
• Cover wider commercial and contract related legal tasks for the fund
• Support on coordinating the people strategy and functions of the firm
• Promote and support on digitisation of the fund
  
  A Senior Funds Lawyer with experience gained working within the private market funds space
• Experience of working across a broader legal role including corporate, commercial, and contractual tasks
• Proven project experience and exposure to wider operational tasks
• An eye for detail and comfortable working within a standalone legal role
  
  Our client, a leading private equity fund with a global investment focus, are currently looking to hire a Senior Funds Lawyer to join their London team. The fund, which has been very successful to date, are currently moving towards their next fund-raising period and are therefore looking to on-board an experienced Funds Lawyer with in-house experience to play a big part in their continued growth.
