Full Job Description

Our casual contracts offer flexibility while ensuring a minimum of 10 hours of work per week, with additional hours available during busier periods. This structure allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while adapting to the business's needs.
While industry experience isn't required, a passion for supporting your local community is essential. We seek individuals with a genuine desire to provide compassionate customer service, ensuring every family receives the care they need during difficult times.
This role is ideal for someone who:

Holds a Full UK Manual Driving License.
Is physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items in line with manual handling guidelines.
Is familiar with the local community (preferred).
Is committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Can remain composed and empathetic in sensitive situations.
Is reliable, well-presented, and strives for high standards in their role.

A typical day might include:

Participating in our on-call rota (varies by branch).
Assisting with bringing the deceased into our care both during and outside office hours.
Maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of funeral vehicles to a high standard.
Assisting with coffining duties, including trimming, dressing, and placing the deceased in coffins as needed.
Being part of the funeral service, including bearing the coffin and driving company vehicles.
Supporting the Funeral Director with pre-funeral tasks, such as route planning and address verification.
