Full Job Description
Are you an exceptional administrator who thrives under pressure and takes pride in being highly organised? Do you have the ambition to make a difference in education and the versatility to adapt to dynamic situations? At Furze Platt, a highly successful mixed comprehensive school in Maidenhead, we are looking for a calm and dedicated individual to join our Human Resources team. In this pivotal role you will take charge of organising high-quality cover arrangements for lessons when our teaching staff are absent, ensuring students continue to receive seamless learning experiences.
At Furze Platt, we are proud to serve 1500 boys and girls of all abilities, helping them develop the skills and qualities needed to excel. Our school embodies the values of being Ambitious, Collaborative and Happy, having Integrity, showing Endurance and Versatility, all aimed at achieving Excellence. We challenge and support our students to reach their highest potential, and we are seeking someone who shares this commitment.
As a key player in our HR team, you will:
Organize and Arrange Cover: Efficiently manage both planned and emergency cover for teaching staff by coordinating our team of Cover Supervisors and liaising with teaching supply agencies.
Manage Absences: You'll record sickness absence in our management information systems, follow up on self-certification forms, fit-to-work notes and return-to-work interviews, and generate monthly sickness reports.
Support HR and Administration: Handle ad-hoc administrative tasks to support the HR team and School Business Team, assist our Receptionist with answering calls, managing general enquiry emails to ensure timely responses by the appropriate staff members, supporting the Reprographics department and other administrative duties.
Highly Organized: Strong organizational skills to handle the dynamic nature of arranging cover.
Detail-Oriented: Able to work under pressure with accuracy and attention to detail.
Versatile and Collaborative: Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
Tech-Savvy: Excellent IT skills with experience in school-based or other management information systems.
If you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and are passionate about contributing to a high-achieving and inclusive school community, we would love to hear from you.
