Full Job Description

We're proud to offer nearly 200 products in our Love Local range which includes tasty treats from our very own Gadsby's Bakery in Southwell. Gadsbys has been kneading, mixing and baking for over 50 years! From bread rolls to Bakewell tarts, all our delicious products are made with passion and pride. Our hardworking team work closely together to ensure that our quality products taste amazing, are made with skill and delivered fresh for our regular customers. As a Gadsbys Hygiene Assistant you'll be joining a team at the heart of the bakery, working closely together across the site to ensure all hygiene standards are maintained to a high standard. You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the completion of hygiene schedules
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements across the society as well as adhering to policies and procedures
  • Undertake any lawful and reasonable duties as reasonably requested by the society
  • Ensuring production lines are clean and disinfected to a high standard
  • Responsible for waste collection and disposal
  • Please note there will be set working days for this position which will be discussed at interview stage.

    A Level 2 Food Safety qualification or equivalent is desirable as well as experience of working within a food production environment. However, it's your personality, skills, motivation, and values that matter the most to us. You'll need to demonstrate:
  • A passion to work within a food production environment.
  • An understanding and appreciation for hygiene standards.
  • The ability to work in an organised manner, keen to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a diverse team, communicating well with others.
