Garden Works Operative

Our Service Delivery Team are looking for a Garden Works Operative, with a can-do attitude, to join our Garden Works Team.

Reporting into one of experienced team leaders you will be working within our Garden Team your to install fibre optic cabling above and below ground, to residential and commercial customer properties.

The successful Candidate will undergo a structured induction and probationary plan. At Wessex Internet we are proud to offer ongoing development and career opportunities.

Shortlisted applicants will be offered a Trial Day with the Gardens team instead of a formal type interview. At Wessex we value the importance of candidates fully understanding what our field based roles involve and getting a little taster. The successful candidates will receive full payment for this trial day in their first pay-packet.

Responsibilities

• Customer Consultation: Meet customers on-site to discuss and plan cable routes that best meet their needs.


• Fibre Installation: Use various methods, including a mini mole plough, to install and lay fibre cables across customers' gardens.


• Health and Safety: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with specific Wessex Internet Health and Safety policies.


• Minimise Impact: Utilise provided information to install fibre cabling with minimal impact on existing services.


• Customer Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication with customers throughout the installation process.
  
  Experience full-time work in an outdoor role


• Meticulous attention to detail


• Organised, with excellent time keeping skills


• Be able to work hard unsupervised


• Well presented (work clothing supplied)


• Demonstrates confidence


• Current driving license


• Knowledge of groundwork and ground services


• Display excellent customer facing skills
