Full Job Description

Other duties will include the preparation, care and maintenance of amenity landscaped areas and Sports grounds and the operation of a wide range of horticultural and grounds maintenance machinery.

Candidates should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in amenity horticulture, or a related discipline or have substantial relevant experience, have knowledge of a range of trees, shrubs and perennials and preferably hold an NPTC - PA1 and PA6A pesticide application certificate. Candidates must also have experience in the use of compact and agricultural tractors and trailers including associated attachments. Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive vehicles involved in grounds maintenance operations and transport materials between University sites, candidates must hold a full, current driving license., Disability Confident

This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full time, (36.25 hours per week) to be worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 3.30pm) with flexibility to work weekends as required. Job share arrangements may be considered.
