Full Job Description

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Cleaner and Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Estate Services team working in Chelsea.

You will be working 35 hours (Monday to Friday) from 8am-4pm.

Reporting to the Estate Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing grounds maintenance work such as maintaining the external garden/car park/bin store areas etc.

Previous experience of grounds maintenance and some cleaning would be preferred but not essential.

Some of the key duties involved are:

Cleaning the internal communal areas including lifts, corridors (mopping dusting and vacuuming).
Bin store/bulk waste management.
Litter picking.
External grounds maintenance (Hedge trimming, grass cutting, weed and moss control etc.)
Customer interaction.

We are looking for someone who has good customer service skills, you will be working as part of a team at times as well as your own. A UK driving licence would be preferred, but not essential.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

Proven experience of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ability to carry out physical tasks within Health and Safety guidelines.
Able to work effectively within a team.
Ability to use all equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to work effectively without high levels of supervision.
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including COSHH and PPE.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Good customer service skills.

This job offers a £1,000 welcome bonus which is payable in two parts. £500 in your first month's salary and £500 when you pass your probation. To be eligible for the Welcome Bonus you must be an external applicant and not currently employed by The Guinness Partnership.
