Full Job Description

  • Be a part of our high performing gas team, working safely to ensure we meet all our compliance requirements. We'll will provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you'll need for the role.
  • Service and repair gas appliances to keep our customers safe and warm.
  • Complete associated gas certification documentation. You'll work line with gas safety, installation and use regulations, as well as our standard operating procedures.
  • Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners so you can concentrate on carrying out work to a high standard, ensuring 'right first time'.
  • Contribute to our 'TradePlus' scheme, acquiring diverse skills to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    Relevant experience as a Gas Engineer and able to complete services and repairs to a high standard.
  • Has an NVQ Level 3 / Craft Certificate in Gas Fitting, as well as the following Domestic qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1. Any commercial gas qualifications would be a plus.
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence.
  • Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
  • A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
  • We'd particularly be interested in hearing from female applicants.

    You'll work primarily in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond. You'll have a fixed shift pattern of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm on Fridays in summer. In the winter, these hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

  • Salary - £38,249 per annum
  • Plus the opportunity to join our overtime rota, paid at time and a half, and callout duties at £28.18.
