Full Job Description

The Gas engineer role will report directly into the estates managers and work closely with our estates office to plan and manage all boiler gas safe compliance (landlord gas safety) heating/ servicing, and installation works across the Iris care group estate. This role will also cover plumbing works as and when required when supporting the estates contractor teams. Servicing, breakdown, and maintenance work on all types of gas, boiler, plumbing and heating systems.

  • All aspects of gas, boiler, plumbing and heating installation work as required.
  • Carry out Landlord Gas safety inspections.
  • Heating and plumbing inspections for contract suitability.
  • Provide and maintain all hand/power tools as required for the role.
  • Ensure Gas qualifications are kept in date.
  • Supporting our internal teams with plumbing support.

    Full Gas safe qualified - essential
  • Full driving licence - essential
  • Background/experience in Care sector.
  • CAFM management of FM services. (Work orders and compliance requirements). knowledge base of CAFM systems.
  • Commercial plantroom knowledge/background.
  • Recognised facilities management qualifications.
  • Recognised Health and safety qualifications.
  • Evidence of delivering process improvement across a range of operational areas
  • Experience of working in supported living and challenging environments.
  • LPG certification.
