We're on the lookout for a Gas Manager to join the believe housing team on a permanent basis.

Our offices are based in Seaham and Bishop Auckland and although we work flexibly, it is envisaged that this role will require both an offsite and onsite presence as per business need when required.

about the role

The Gas Manager willbe responsible and accountable for the organisation's gas compliance delivery, in association with all legislative regulations, Approved Code of Practice (ACOP), official guidance standards and best practise, including Domestic and Non-Domestic Gas.

To deliver excellent customer experience including high levels of performance and productivity whilst maximising value and bringing to life the vision and values of the organisation.

The successful candidate will:

· Be responsible for dynamic leadership and management of the operational delivery of a Compliance service, including the effective management of all resources required to delivery excellent services whilst optimising performance, cost and risk.

· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and regulations including the scope of gas work that the business undertakes, ensuring that safe working practices are managed and embedded in day to day operations.

· Be responsible for the successful and compliant delivery of the organisation's gas responsive repairs, gas servicing programme and installation of new boilers in accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

· To effectively manage and report information on budgets, spend, accurate forecasting data whilst demonstrating sound financial control.

· Accountable for the management and performance (financial and operational) of appropriate external suppliers, including sub-contractors, including all aspects of compliance with legislation, regulations and forms of contract.

· To develop existing policies and procedures to deliver a unified gas compliance service that is the best in class. In addition, to lead on guidance and training which will drive these improvements.
