GCP Architect (Mainframe Modernization)

As an experienced Migration GCP Architect, you need to take charge of designing GCP cloud landing zone in align with customers landing zone principles. The primary responsibility of this role will be designing the strategy for GCP migration and overseeing cloud systems, including Servers, storage, and network infrastructure. The GCP Architect will collaborate closely with customers GCP landing zone teams across the organization to manage cloud infrastructure to meet the migration needs.

Responsibilities:

Mandatory to have:
GCP Architect Certification is mandatory, and candidate should be currently with GCP.
Modernization experience - Mainframe to GCP.

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and maintain the adaptation process for Mainframe migration
Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
Identify the best cloud architecture solutions to meet the company's needs and business requirements
Lead the adoption of new cloud technologies and establish best practices for them
Design cloud infrastructures running in 24/7 environments
Design and implement IaaS and PaaS solutions
Develop enterprise cloud guidelines and automations
Oversee all aspects of the GCP environment, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and security
Develop and organize cloud systems suitable for Mainframe migration
Implement systems, solutions, and processes to manage cloud costs, scalability, redundancy, and continuous validation
Manage and monitor cloud-based applications and services
Collaborate with IT security to monitor cloud privacy
Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, data, and integration teams to ensure best practices are followed throughout cloud adoption
Provide thought leadership related to GCP and cloud infrastructure

5+ years of experience in GCP cloud architecture or systems engineering
3+ Yrs. of proven experience in Legacy Migration to GCP projects.
Experience leading large-scale network migrations to GCP
Experience establishing technical strategy and architecture at the enterprise level
Experience leading GCP Cloud project delivery
Expertise in GCP services
Knowledge of network security design including segmentation, encryption, logging, and monitoring
Knowledge of network topologies, load balancing, and segmentation
Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
