Full Job Description

Technology team, you'll have a hand in designing, deploying, and maintaining technologies and systems to address the ever-changing needs of our customers and business. Roles and Responsibilities In the 12-month Information Technology (IT) Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience, providing support in one of the following areas: Business - responsibilities will include project management, business intelligence/reporting (data analytics), IT infrastructure to implementation activities and IT compliance.

  • Technical - responsibilities will include application/web development, security/controllership, defining business requirements for a new tool, supporting digitization of shopfloor processes and providing technical support/engaging with end users.
  • You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your People Leader and team around you. We will guide you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE Aerospace experience. Your People Leader will offer coaching and mentoring, and you will be provided with the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UK. If you are passionate about Information Technology, we would love to hear from you., UK Security Clearance (SC) may be required and maintained for some of our placement roles. Due to the nature of work, some of these roles are restricted to candidates who are a British National, or a dual National where one of the dual nationalities is British subject to any restrictions. Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements for UK Security Clearance will therefore not be eligible for some of our roles on grounds of national security. If UK Security Clearance is not obtained for some roles, any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.

  • Currently studying or recently achieved an Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Management, IT Project Management, ICT or Digital Technology bachelor's or master's degree
  • Passionate about Information Technology
  • On course or achieved a 2:1 degree
