Full Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Liaise with NHS patients regarding appointments Inbound and outbound referral management Liaise with clinicians and consultants and to ensure urgent referrals are prioritised and forwarded to the appropriate services Processing new referrals via e-RS and entering them on EmisWeb To be responsible for ensuring that discharges letters are sent according to the organisations procedures To be responsible for sending out appointment letters using DocMail To be responsible for send hospital referral information to patients via Royal Mail To undertake scanning of any clinical documents, or other materials, to EmisWeb materials in a systematic way To provide support for appointment management Providing reception/administration duties for clinics at clinic sites in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. Data inputting. Working according to Patient First policies and procedures Work at any location where Patient First holds clinics (see locations) at managers request. Adhere
to appropriate confidentiality and Infection Prevention Control guidelines. Main Tasks: Answering the telephone and handling patient queries Ensure that test and scan results have been received prior to clinics Using EmisWeb to book, cancel and rearrange appointments Access inbound patient referral information via e-RS Administer community clinics throughout Newham when cover is required Ensure all letters and emails received from General Practitioners and within the service are processed accord to the organisations protocols Populate data collection spreadsheets as necessary Facilitate cover for sickness and annual leave absence where appropriate Completing all mandatory training as required Attend weekly admin team meetings Attend clinical team meetings, where required Work as an effective team member
