General Cover Teacher

To assume the responsibilities of the role of Group Tutor, as required, and to support the Assistant Vice Principal / Pastoral and Learning Leads in the provision of pastoral care and guidance for the students in your care.

To teach all curriculum subjects as may be required.

To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses and schemes of work, Y7-Y11, in the subject area.

Promote and support the aims, ethos and vision of the academy/trust.

QTS or equivalent.

Key stage 3 and 4 experience.

Ability to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students.

Ability to utilise assessment data in effective lesson planning and targeted intervention.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.

High expectations, and the belief that all students, whatever their background, can achieve their full potential.

Strong commitment to inclusive education.
