Full Job Description

  • Work as part of the site team, supporting the Works Manager and collaborating with Engineers and Framework Contractors to deliver and coordinate works efficiently, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, while promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Support the overall CWRP programme objectives and deliverables.
  • Deliver clear and effective briefings, including site inductions, daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings, covering relevant health, safety, and environmental topics. Ensure that records of briefings are maintained for both staff and subcontractor personnel.
  • Ensure that all work is properly planned and executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, contributing to methodology choices and programme development.
  • Coordinate vehicle and plant movements on site, ensuring pedestrian safety and effective segregation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture on site by challenging unsafe behaviours and encouraging good practices.
  • Coordinate material deliveries to site and maintain site security.
  • Support the Works Manager, Agents, and Engineers in planning upcoming tasks, ensuring that adequate labour, plant, and materials are available to meet the programme.
  • Participate in Collaborative Planning sessions to help align the team's approach and improve project delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractors' activities on site, ensuring that interfaces are safely and effectively managed.
  • Review site productivity and assist the Works Manager and Planner in programme management.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, quantities of works completed, and photographic documentation.

    Experience within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience in the water industry.
  • Familiarity with working on large, complex sites.
  • Proven ability to supervise subcontractors effectively.
  • A good understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS GOLD) Supervisors card.
