Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract role. The team work in hybrid fashion with the requirement to be in the Leeds office once a week. Must be available for overtime around year end. What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with allocated clients preparing and reviewing balance sheet control accounts.
  • Ensuring the month end process is as smooth as possible.
  • Preparing pension, tax and NI's figures for payment.
  • Raising third party payments on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing monthly Interim & Final Reconciliation Packs.
  • Initiating and prepping monthly payroll deduction pay overs.
  • Being first point of contact for the team queries, advancing to Training and Ops leads as appropriate.
  • Reviewing and approving a monthly allocation of Tax NI & Pension payments.
  • Conducting regular reviews of workload status and lead regular workload meetings to make sure that important metrics will be met.
  • What you'll bring:
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office e.g., Teams, Outlook, Excel.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles, practice and terminology.
  • Ability to communicate with other team members and external contacts in a timely and professional manner.
  • The ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Flexibility and willingness to change.
  • It would be great if you had:
  • Reconciliation and ledger experience.
  • AAT qualified or equivalent.
