Overview

We're looking for a General Manager for a fantastic, community pub in Durham. Salary up to £42,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Marston's is one of the UK's largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we're on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Newton Grange in Brasside, Durham and lead the team to success!

  • About the pub

    The Newton Grange is a lovely, community pub situated in Brasside, Durham. The pub benefits from being in an ideal location, just a 5 minute walk to the city centre.

    Currently the site is delivering average weekly sales of £17,500 at a 60/40 wet led split. It's the perfect spot for community events and is popular for family occasions.

    The pub also appeals to pool/darts players and has the relevant facilities, as well as a lovely outdoor area to maximise on good weather days. Families frequent the pub and there is a kids playground onsite too.

    A new General Manager is needed to give the Newton Grange a new lease of life, the team is solid but there are senior team gaps, giving the next General Manager the opportunity to grow and engage the team.

    There is three bedroom live-in accommodation available with the position.
